Green Dividing Line

Students work with our Office of Undergraduate Research to discover research opportunities in a variety of disciplines. They can apply for a grant to fund their research, internship or special project.

In their sophomore year, students can become a College Scholar, a program which serves intellectually curious students looking to expand their academic horizons and build community with faculty and like-minded peers. The Office of Academic Enrichment also organizes Sophomore September in the fall and Sophomore Week near the end of the academic year, where they’ll celebrate declaring their major with the last gathering of their whole class before graduation.

Newcomb-Tulane College’s Office of Study Abroad provides significant academic enrichment experiences through immersive international study and living opportunities. Tulane sends nearly 600 students abroad each year, an opportunity to broaden horizons and make memories that will last a lifetime.

In addition, through the Office of Academic Enrichment, students can complete a senior thesis to pursue their own original research or creative work under the guidance of Tulane’s world-class faculty.
